"I have to choose between having energy and taking care of everyone else."
How it sounds in your head: If I take time to rest or care for myself, someone will suffer. The kids need me, my husband needs me, work needs me. There's no scenario where I get to feel energized AND everyone else is okay. I have to sacrifice my vitality for their wellbeing.
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."
-- Matthew 11:28Religious martyr spirit says your depletion proves your love and self-care is selfish.
Every time she tries to rest, someone needs something and she feels guilty. The either-or feels like proven reality—her vitality or their needs, never both.
This widow was down to her last meal, choosing between feeding herself and her son or starving. Elijah told her to make him bread first and she'd never run out. She obeyed and the flour and oil never ran dry—supernatural provision where sacrifice seemed required, abundance replacing depletion instantly.
I REFUSE the lie that I must choose between my vitality and everyone else's wellbeing. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus calls me to come to Him and He will give me rest—not someday, NOW. Rest isn't earned or selfish—it's COMMANDED. I am under the BARAK blessing and the Lord commands the blessing on my storehouses—that includes my ENERGY storehouse. IT IS WRITTEN in John 10:10 that Jesus came to give me ABUNDANT life—not barely surviving life, ABUNDANT life. My cup overflows and I give from overflow, not depletion. I receive supernatural rest and supernatural energy to love my family well, RIGHT NOW.
Father sees you thinking you have to empty yourself to fill others and runs toward you with the same supernatural provision that kept the widow's oil flowing—He multiplies what you give from HIS supply, not yours. Your rest blesses everyone around you.
