"I have no spiritual authority because I'm not a pastor or spiritual leader"
How it sounds in your head: You're just a regular guy. Spiritual warfare is for trained ministers and Bible scholars. You don't have the credentials or the calling to command demons or speak with authority.
"Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
-- Luke 10:19Source: religion - clergy/laity hierarchy denying priesthood of all believers
You've watched pastors do deliverance and read books by theologians who seem to have special anointing. Your life feels ordinary - work, bills, family - not dramatic enough for spiritual authority.
A man who wasn't even part of Jesus' group was casting out demons in Jesus' name. The disciples tried to stop him because he wasn't 'official,' but Jesus said, 'Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My name can soon afterward speak evil of Me.'
I REFUSE the lie that spiritual authority requires credentials, position, or special calling. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus gave ME authority over ALL the power of the enemy - not some, ALL. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all principality and power. IT IS WRITTEN that greater is He who is in me than he who is in the world. I don't need a seminary degree to use the name of Jesus - that name was given to EVERY believer. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine by covenant, which means supernatural protection and provision flow through me regardless of my title or training.
The Father isn't waiting for you to get ordained before He releases authority - He already gave it the moment you believed. You're not a civilian hoping for military rank; you're already commissioned, already armed, already victorious in Christ.
