"I have no spiritual authority."
How it sounds in your head: I've outlived my usefulness in God's kingdom. Younger people are the ones with real spiritual authority now.
"They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing."
-- Psalm 92:14Youth-obsessed culture that equates value and power with being young
Retirement from visible ministry roles, seeing younger leaders in charge, feeling forgotten or passed over, and cultural messages that relevance belongs to the young.
Sarah gave birth to Isaac at age 90, bringing forth the miracle son through whom all nations would be blessed. Her greatest spiritual legacy and fulfillment of God's promise came in her advanced years.
I reject the lie that my spiritual usefulness has expired—I am just entering my most fruitful season. IT IS WRITTEN that I will bring forth fruit in my old age, and that includes exercising the full spiritual authority Jesus has given me. My authority to pray, prophesy, intercede, and speak truth is not diminished but refined by years of knowing God. I am flourishing in the Spirit, and the wisdom I carry makes my authority even more effective. IT IS WRITTEN that God has given me power over all the power of the enemy, and nothing about my age changes that reality. I am a fruitful, flourishing, authoritative woman of God.
Father is bringing you into your most fruitful season where the authority you exercise is seasoned by decades of faithfulness, and He is positioning you to birth spiritual breakthrough that only you can carry.
