Doctors, counselors, and recovery programs all use disease language. It feels scientific and legitimate. The relapse statistics seem to prove that most people never truly break free, just manage symptoms.
She had an 'incurable chronic condition' for 12 YEARS, spent all her money on doctors who made her worse. One touch of Jesus' garment and she was IMMEDIATELY healed - not managed, not improved, but COMPLETELY WHOLE. Jesus said 'your faith has made you WELL' - not 'you're in remission.'
I REFUSE the lie that I have an incurable disease. IT IS WRITTEN that whom the Son sets free is free INDEED - not partially, not temporarily, but COMPLETELY. I am not managing a condition - I am walking in DELIVERANCE. The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in me. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed - past tense, finished work. I don't have a disease - I have a DELIVERER. The BARAK blessing includes HEALTH and WHOLENESS. I am not a patient in perpetual treatment - I am a son walking in TOTAL freedom.
The Father doesn't see you as chronically ill and doing your best to cope. He sees you as HEALED, WHOLE, completely free. The disease model says 'manage it forever.' Jesus says 'It is FINISHED.'
