"I'll probably relapse - statistics say most people do"
How it sounds in your head: I've read the numbers. Most addicts relapse within the first year. Multiple times. Some never make it out. Why would I be different? I'm not special. I'm just another statistic waiting to happen. Hope feels naive when the odds are this bad.
"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

The statistics are REAL - most people relapse multiple times. You've maybe already relapsed. Numbers don't lie and you don't feel exceptional enough to beat them.
Professional beggar for probably YEARS, everyone told him to shut up when Jesus passed, odds were he'd die blind like he'd always been. He shouted louder, Jesus stopped, ONE ENCOUNTER and 'immediately he received his sight' - never blind again. Statistics didn't apply.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm bound by statistics and odds. IT IS WRITTEN: I am MORE THAN A CONQUEROR through Christ who loves me. IT IS WRITTEN that God GIVES me the victory - not after I prove myself but AS A GIFT through Jesus. I am NOT in the relapse category. I'm in the NEW CREATION category - old passed away, ALL THINGS NEW. Under the BARAK, I am ABOVE ONLY, the HEAD not the tail. God who BEGAN this work in me will COMPLETE it. I am not a statistic. I am a MIRACLE, a TESTIMONY, a DAUGHTER who OVERCOMES.
Father doesn't look at you and see statistics. He sees Bartimaeus AFTER the healing - walking in perfect sight, whole, free. The prodigal could've been the 'most likely to fail' statistic. Instead he was the 'reason for the biggest party.' Your Father celebrates BREAKTHROUGH, not percentages.
