"I don't tithe because I don't have income, so God won't bless me financially yet."
How it sounds in your head: The pastor talks about tithing bringing blessing, but I don't have money to tithe. I guess I have to wait until I have a job before God can bless me.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."
-- 2 Corinthians 9:8Religion's transactional gospel: you give first (works), then God blesses (payment), making provision conditional on your giving.
She's heard Malachi 3:10 preached as a formula: tithe, then windows open. Since she can't tithe yet, she assumes she's locked out of provision.
Peter needed tax money but had none. Jesus didn't say "tithe first"—He told him to go fishing, and the first fish had the EXACT coin needed in its mouth. Supernatural provision with ZERO giving required first, because Jesus provides for His own unconditionally.
I REFUSE the lie that I must tithe before God blesses me! IT IS WRITTEN in 2 Corinthians 9:8 that ALL GRACE abounds toward me so I have ALL sufficiency in ALL things—grace FIRST, giving FROM abundance, not to GET abundance. I am blessed by the BARAK covenant that blessed Isaac before he could walk or work. IT IS WRITTEN in Galatians 3:13 that Christ redeemed me FROM the curse so the blessing is MINE by blood, not behavior! Peter received the coin in the fish without giving first, and I receive supernatural provision NOW!
Your Father isn't waiting for you to have something to give before He gives to you—He's the God who provides the seed to the sower (2 Cor 9:10). He supplies FIRST so you can give FROM His abundance, not to earn it.
