"I don't matter to God—He's too busy with important things to care about me."
How it sounds in your head: There are wars, famines, real problems in the world. Your middle school drama, your body insecurities, your friendship issues? God has bigger things to worry about than you.
"Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows."
-- Matthew 10:29-31Enemy using global suffering to minimize personal worth and create distance from intimate Father.
Your problems feel small compared to 'real' suffering. Pastors preach about nations and revival, not your anxiety about sitting alone at lunch. You're just one of billions.
A pregnant slave girl fleeing abuse in the desert, invisible to society, forgotten by everyone. God found her, spoke to her, and she called Him 'El Roi'—the God Who SEES. He saw the one nobody else noticed and cared about the crisis nobody else considered important.
I REFUSE the lie that I don't matter to God. IT IS WRITTEN that the very hairs of my head are numbered. I am not too small, too insignificant, or too unimportant for God's attention. He is EL ROI—the God who SEES me. IT IS WRITTEN that He has engraved me on the palms of His hands. My middle school problems are NOT beneath His notice because I am NOT beneath His love. I carry the BARAK blessing of Abraham—blessed in every detail of my life. I declare I MATTER because the God of the universe knows my name, counts my hairs, and collects my tears in a bottle. There is NO CONDEMNATION in Christ Jesus, and I am the apple of His eye.
The Father isn't distracted by 'bigger' things—you ARE the big thing to Him. He left the 99 for the 1. He knows your lunch table anxiety by name and He CARES.
