"I don't have the spiritual gifts or anointing that others have—I'm just an ordinary believer."
How it sounds in your head: She leads worship and everyone feels God's presence. She prays and people get healed. You pray and nothing happens. Maybe some people are just chosen for the anointing and you're called to support them from the sidelines.
"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light."
-- 1 Peter 2:9Religion teaching a clergy/laity divide that makes you a spectator instead of a daughter with full access.
You've tried praying for people and nothing happened. You've tried to hear God's voice and got silence. Other people seem to have this spiritual connection you just don't have, proving you're not one of the 'chosen vessels.'
Amos wasn't a prophet or a prophet's son—he was a sheepherder and fig farmer with ZERO spiritual credentials. When questioned about his authority, he said, 'I'm just a farmer, but the LORD TOOK ME and SENT ME.' God IMMEDIATELY used him to write Scripture and prophesy to nations.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm ordinary or less anointed. IT IS WRITTEN that I am a ROYAL PRIESTHOOD with FULL ACCESS to the throne. The same Spirit that hovered over creation LIVES IN ME. I'm not waiting to become anointed—I WAS anointed the moment the Holy Spirit took up residence. IT IS WRITTEN in 1 John 2:20 that I have an ANOINTING from the Holy One. I am not a spectator—I am a daughter, a priest, a carrier of His presence. I am CHOSEN, ANOINTED, and SENT.
The Father didn't give you a lesser Spirit—He gave you the SAME SPIRIT that raised Jesus from the dead. While you're comparing yourself to platform ministers, He's already commissioned you as His royal priesthood with full access and authority.
