"I don't have strength to do what needs doing anymore."
How it sounds in your head: There are things I should be doing—helping family, serving at church, keeping up the house—but I just can't. I feel guilty saying no, but I'm too weak to say yes. I'm becoming useless.
"And He said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
-- 2 Corinthians 12:9Enemy weaponizing weakness to assign identity of 'useless burden,' erasing the truth that God's strength is perfected in weakness.
She watches tasks pile up while her capacity shrinks. Younger family members do things she used to do, and each transfer of responsibility feels like proof of her diminishing value.
Gideon was hiding in a winepress, from the weakest clan, the least in his family, calling himself unable. The Angel called him 'mighty warrior' and God said 'Go in THIS might'—the might of God's presence, not Gideon's strength—and he immediately delivered Israel.
I REFUSE the lie that my weakness disqualifies me or makes me a burden. IT IS WRITTEN that God's strength is made PERFECT in weakness—not despite it, but THROUGH it. I am not defined by what I can produce but by Whose I am. Like Gideon the weakest becoming a mighty warrior, God's presence transforms my limitations into platforms for His power. IT IS WRITTEN in Philippians 4:13 that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me—not through my own reserves, but through HIM. I am a branch abiding in the Vine, and fruit comes from connection, not effort. The blessing of Abraham rests on me by covenant, not by my capacity to perform, and that blessing includes supernatural strength for every assignment God has actually given me.
The Father isn't disappointed that you can't do what you used to do—He's inviting you into the secret that you never could do it in your own strength anyway. He's been carrying you all along, and now He's just making it more obvious. He doesn't need your ability; He supplies His own, and He calls you 'mighty warrior' while you're still in the winepress feeling weak.
