"I don't have anything interesting to offer in conversations. I'm boring compared to everyone else."
How it sounds in your head: Everyone has stories, adventures, accomplishments. You just go to work and play video games. Nothing worth talking about. You're the gray wallpaper in a room of stained glass.
"But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body just as He pleased."
-- 1 Corinthians 12:18Comparison demon amplifying others while muting the value God placed in you.
Your life feels mundane next to their internships abroad and epic weekend plans. You don't have Instagram-worthy experiences. Conversations feel like interviews where you have nothing to report.
Amos was a shepherd and a fruit picker—literally the most ordinary background imaginable. No seminary, no pedigree, just fig trees and sheep. God called him to prophesy to KINGS and nations. His 'boring' became the platform for a book of the Bible.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too boring to be wanted. IT IS WRITTEN that God set me in the body EXACTLY as He pleased—my life, my personality, my story are ALL intentional. I don't need to perform interesting—I AM interesting because I carry the presence of God. IT IS WRITTEN that I am His workmanship, masterfully designed. My conversations don't need highlight reels to have value. I bring the perspective, humor, and depth that my tribe is CRAVING.
The Father is running toward you with a spotlight, not a comparison chart. He's not disappointed by your 'ordinary'—He's about to use the exact life you think is boring to speak hope into someone who needs to hear that normal is enough.
