"I didn't spend enough time with my kids when they were young and now they're distant."
How it sounds in your head: You were building a career while they were building memories without you. Those Little League games you missed, the recitals, the bedtime stories—you can't get those back and now the relationship reflects it.
"And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."
-- Malachi 4:6Religious guilt teaching that God's blessing on relationships depends on your perfect parenting performance.
Your kids' therapists probably mention your absence. Other dads coached teams and have close adult relationships with their kids now. The evidence is in every stilted phone call.
The father had a son who DEMANDED inheritance early (ultimate disrespect), left for YEARS, blew everything on prostitutes, and came back broke. The father had every right to be distant. Instead he RAN, embraced, restored FULLY—immediate reconciliation despite years of absence and betrayal.
I REFUSE the lie that missed years create permanent distance with my children. IT IS WRITTEN that God will TURN the hearts of fathers to children and children to fathers. I am redeemed from every curse, including relational breakdown. IT IS WRITTEN in Joel 2:25 that God RESTORES the years. I declare divine heart-turning NOW, supernatural reconciliation NOW, complete restoration of every relationship. The BARAK blessing covers my household and my descendants.
The Father doesn't audit your parenting resume before releasing reconciliation. He's already running toward you AND your kids with the power to turn hearts in a MOMENT—not because you were perfect but because HE IS.
