"I can't undo the mistakes I made in my younger years."
How it sounds in your head: The decisions you made at 25, 35, 45—they set trajectories you can't reverse now. Bad business deals, broken relationships, poor financial choices. You're living with consequences you can't escape and it's too late to change the trajectory now.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:17Law-based thinking that makes you EARN redemption through undoing past mistakes, rather than receiving IMMEDIATE redemption through finished work of Christ.
He sees the compound effects of past decisions—retirement accounts that could have been larger, relationships that can't be rebuilt, opportunities that passed. The math seems irreversible this late in the game.
Manasseh was Judah's WORST king—practiced witchcraft, sacrificed his own sons to demons, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood. At age 67, he repented and God IMMEDIATELY restored him, gave him years of blessed reign—couldn't undo the evil but God did a NEW thing.
I REFUSE the lie that I must undo my past mistakes. IT IS WRITTEN that in Christ I am a NEW creation—old things passed away, ALL things become new. I don't undo; God RENEWS. IT IS WRITTEN that God does a NEW thing, not a repaired old thing. Like Manasseh who couldn't resurrect the sons he sacrificed but God blessed his final years anyway, my past doesn't lock my future. The BARAK blessing isn't nullified by bad decisions—it SUPERSEDES them. God isn't waiting for me to fix yesterday—He's doing a NEW thing today that makes yesterday IRRELEVANT.
Your Father isn't requiring you to undo what's done—He's making ALL things new RIGHT NOW. He sees your past and says 'Watch Me do a NEW thing' that doesn't require you to reverse history, only receive PRESENT grace.
