"I can't trust my body's hunger signals. They'll lead me into gluttony and shame."
How it sounds in your head: Your body says it's hungry, but you don't trust it. You've been taught that hunger is the enemy, not a signal. If you listen to your body, you're convinced it'll betray you into overeating and regret.
"Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!"
-- Matthew 7:9-11Religion + diet culture: Your body is fallen and untrustworthy, and only external rules can save you from it.
Every diet taught you to override hunger with discipline. You've been told your body lies to you, and now you treat hunger like a temptation to resist instead of information to honor.
God commanded ravens to feed Elijah bread and meat twice a day by the brook. Provision came on schedule, not based on Elijah earning it or overriding hunger—instant, reliable nourishment delivered by divine design.
I REFUSE the lie that my body's hunger is the enemy. IT IS WRITTEN that my Father gives good gifts when I ask, and hunger is His design, not a trap. I am not at war with my body—it is the temple of the Holy Spirit. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed in my eating and drinking, and the blessing of Abraham includes nourishment without shame. My body is good, designed by a good Father who doesn't trick me with false signals. I trust today that hunger is information, not temptation. I am free to eat in peace.
The Father didn't design your body to sabotage you—He built hunger into you as an invitation to receive provision. He's not rolling His eyes when you're hungry; He's preparing bread, just like He did for Elijah.
