"I can't do anything anymore because my body just won't cooperate."
How it sounds in your head: I used to be able to play, run, do stuff, but now my body feels like it's betraying me. I want to do things but I just can't make myself move. I'm useless.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
-- Philippians 4:13Enemy accusation of uselessness + trauma from sudden physical changes of puberty creating disconnect from body.
Rapid growth, changing sleep needs, and hormonal shifts make his body feel unpredictable and unreliable. He's experiencing normal adolescent fatigue but interpreting it as failure.
A man was paralyzed for 38 YEARS, unable to move himself into the healing pool, completely dependent and unable to do anything. Jesus spoke ONE WORD—'Rise, take up your bed and walk'—and IMMEDIATELY the man was made well and walked.
I REFUSE the lie that I can't do anything or that my body's cooperation determines my ability. IT IS WRITTEN that I can do ALL THINGS through Christ who strengthens me—not through my physical state, but through HIM. My body does not dictate my capabilities; Christ in me does. The BARAK blessing means I am blessed in everything I set my hand to, and the Lord goes before me to make the crooked places straight. IT IS WRITTEN in Isaiah 40:29 that He GIVES POWER to the weak and INCREASES strength to those who have no might. I don't need might; I need HIM. When I am weak, HE is strong in me. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and He is renewing, restoring, and empowering me from the inside out.
The Father doesn't look at your uncooperative body and say, 'Come back when you're functioning better.' He looks at you like He looked at the paralyzed man—with ONE WORD He can change everything in an instant. The prodigal couldn't walk home fast enough on his own strength, but the Father RAN to close the gap. Your ability is never the issue; His willingness always is, and He's ALWAYS willing.
