"I can't be the spiritual leader I was called to be from this weakened state."
How it sounds in your head: You can't even make it to church anymore. Can't serve, can't stand to pray over others, can't lead anything from here. Your time as spiritual leader is over—now you're the one being ministered to, not ministering.
"By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff."
-- Hebrews 11:21Religious lie that equates physical presence and activity with spiritual authority and leadership.
Can't attend services, can't lay hands on people, can't serve in visible ways. Leadership always meant DOING things, and now you can't do those things anymore.
Elderly, likely frail, waiting in the temple for death—specifically told by the Holy Spirit he wouldn't die until he saw Messiah. When the moment came, he held infant Jesus and released one of Scripture's most powerful prophetic declarations. His entire recorded ministry happened in old age, likely in weakness, but it's preserved forever.
I REFUSE the lie that weakness disqualifies me from spiritual authority. IT IS WRITTEN that Jacob blessed and prophesied from his deathbed, leaning on his staff—his greatest ministry in his greatest weakness. My authority is not in my body's strength but in my position IN CHRIST. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of Abraham is mine through Christ (Galatians 3:14), and that blessing flows through my words, my prayers, my presence regardless of physical capacity. I am a priest and a king (Revelation 1:6) whether standing or sitting, mobile or bedridden. My intercession shakes kingdoms. My blessing shapes destinies. My weakness magnifies HIS power.
The Father is positioning you for your Simeon moment—the prophetic word that outlasts your body, the blessing that shapes generations. He hasn't removed your mantle because you can't wear it the same way. He's showing you how to carry it in pure dependence where His power flows unhindered.
