"I can't afford to tithe right now, maybe when I'm older and have money"
How it sounds in your head: My parents barely have enough for rent. I get $10 for my birthday and they expect me to give $1? That's my snack money for the week. God doesn't need my lunch money when bills are due.
"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work."

She can see the stack of bills on the counter and hears parents fighting about money. Giving away the little she has feels like choosing between obedience and survival, and survival seems smarter.
She was down to her LAST handful of flour and drop of oil, about to cook final meal before she and her son starved to death. She gave it FIRST to Elijah - and the flour and oil never ran out through the entire famine, INSTANT supernatural provision that lasted years.
I REFUSE the lie that I'm too broke to participate in God's economy! IT IS WRITTEN that God makes all grace abound toward me so I ALWAYS have ALL sufficiency in ALL things. I am Abraham's seed, heir according to PROMISE, and the BARAK blessing of provision covers me NOT because I earned it but because I'm IN CHRIST. The same God who kept flour and oil flowing for a starving widow can multiply my $1 into more than my hoarding could ever produce. IT IS WRITTEN He opens windows of heaven over givers - I'm not too young, too broke, or too small for His abundance. I am a generous daughter of a generous Father!
The Father sees your $1 and sees FAITH, not foolishness. He's not waiting for you to get older or richer - He's inviting you NOW into the adventure where He proves Himself your provider, where what you release comes back multiplied, where you learn His economy runs opposite the world's.
