"God's favor is for people who've kept themselves pure, not me."
How it sounds in your head: There's a tier system in God's kingdom. The kids who never messed up get the good stuff. You're in the 'second class' category now. God's best is reserved for those who didn't blow it like you did.
"Even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference."
-- Romans 3:22Source: religious teaching that God's blessing is earned through moral performance, contradicting grace.
You see stories about people who 'stayed pure' getting blessed and it feels like you're locked out of that level. Church sometimes makes it sound like there are first-class and coach Christians.
Rahab was a prostitute—literally selling her body—when she helped Israel's spies. God didn't put her in 'second-class saved' category. She's in JESUS' GENEALOGY, listed in Matthew 1 alongside the 'pure' ones—same honor, same lineage, same favor INSTANTLY.
I REFUSE the lie that God has tier systems for favor. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO DIFFERENCE—all who believe receive the SAME righteousness of God. I have the EXACT favor as anyone who 'stayed pure' because my righteousness is CHRIST'S righteousness, not mine. The BARAK blessing doesn't have levels—I am blessed with Abraham's full blessing by covenant. IT IS WRITTEN in Ephesians 1:6 that I am accepted in the Beloved. I declare I have FIRST-CLASS favor RIGHT NOW.
The Father isn't sorting His kids into 'pure ones' and 'forgiven ones'—everyone at His table is there by grace. He runs to you with the SAME robe, ring, and sandals He gives anyone.
