"God can't use me after my abortion"

How it sounds in your head: Every other girl's testimony is about overcoming addiction or finding Jesus through a breakup. Mine is about ending a life. That's the one sin too dark for a redemption story. I'll never be on a stage, never lead worship, never be trusted with ministry.

Isaiah 1:18

"Come now, and let us reason together, says the LORD, though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

-- Isaiah 1:18
Enemy whispers: Your past abortion disqualifies you from being used by God. BUT IT IS WRITTEN: Isaiah 1:18 - 'Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.' Scarlet. Crimson. Blood-red. God NAMES the darkest stains and declares them WHITE. Not gray. Not stained. WHITE AS SNOW. He doesn't say 'most sins' or 'the acceptable ones.' He says THOUGH your sins are LIKE SCARLET. The blood of Jesus doesn't almost cover it—it OBLITERATES it.
Quick Truth: LIE: Abortion disqualifies me. TRUTH: Rahab the prostitute is in Jesus' bloodline. Your past is buried. (Isaiah 1:18)

Source: Religious shame weaponizing past choices to silence present calling

Why this feels true:

The church celebrates recovery stories but whispers about abortion in hushed tones with eyes averted. The silence around it feels like confirmation that this one crosses a line even grace can't cover.

Joshua 2:1-21, Matthew 1:5
Rahab the harlot

Rahab was a prostitute who betrayed her own city—her livelihood depended on sexual sin and she committed treason. God placed her in the MESSIANIC LINE—she's listed in Matthew 1:5 as great-great-grandmother of King David and ancestress of JESUS HIMSELF.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that my abortion disqualifies me from God's use. IT IS WRITTEN that though my sins were scarlet, they are NOW white as snow—not because I've earned it, but because His blood SPEAKS better things than my past. The enemy wants me silenced by shame, but God has placed a testimony in my mouth and a calling on my life that my history cannot revoke. IT IS WRITTEN in Hebrews 8:12 that He remembers my sins NO MORE—if GOD has forgotten it, who am I to keep bringing it up? I am Abraham's seed, heir according to the PROMISE, and the BARAK blessing rests on me not because of my perfection but because of my POSITION in Christ. I am qualified by HIS righteousness, not disqualified by my past.

But God actually:

The Father is running toward you with the ring of authority ALREADY in His hand, not waiting for you to feel worthy enough to wear it. What the enemy meant to bury you with, God is turning into the very message that will set others free—your scars are becoming your credentials.
