"God won't heal me because I don't have enough faith at this age"
How it sounds in your head: Young people get healed because they have strong faith. I'm old, tired, and my faith feels weak. I've prayed and nothing happened. Maybe God only heals those with mountain-moving faith, and mine is too small.
"And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment. For she said to herself, 'If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.' But Jesus turned around, and when He saw her He said, 'Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.' And the woman was made well from that hour."
-- Matthew 9:20-22Religious teaching that healing depends on the SIZE of your faith.
She's watched younger people recover while she deteriorates, and assumes it's because their faith was bigger. Her unanswered prayers feel like proof her faith failed the test.
A leprous commander who was angry, skeptical, and almost refused to obey because the healing method seemed too simple. He had DOUBT, not mountain-moving faith, yet dipped seven times and came out with flesh like a child's—INSTANT healing despite his attitude.
I REFUSE the lie that my faith is too small for healing! IT IS WRITTEN that the bleeding woman was healed INSTANTLY after 12 years, not because her faith was huge, but because she TOUCHED JESUS. I am not a branch WORKING to produce fruit—I am a branch ABIDING, and healing flows FROM the Vine! IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed—past tense, FINISHED work. My age doesn't diminish His power. My trembling faith is ENOUGH because HE is enough!
The Father doesn't measure your faith with a ruler before releasing healing—He responds to the smallest reach toward Him like He did the bleeding woman. Your weak, desperate touch is ENOUGH because His power isn't limited by your strength. He's not waiting for bigger faith; He's waiting for you to receive what He's ALREADY given.
