"I wasted my life not serving God enough; it's too late to matter"
How it sounds in your head: I see others who served in ministry, missions, led people to Christ. I just lived a normal life. I didn't do anything significant for God. It's too late now. I wasted the one life I had.
"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence."
-- 1 Corinthians 1:27-29Religious lie that your life only matters if you had visible ministry impact.
She compares her ordinary life to others' extraordinary callings and feels her life was wasted. With death near, there's no time left to 'do more' for God.
She gave two small coins, the least valuable offering in the temple that day, while rich people gave huge amounts. Jesus said she gave MORE than all of them because she gave all she had. Her tiny, invisible gift was the one Jesus NOTICED and made famous forever.
I REFUSE the lie that my life was wasted! IT IS WRITTEN that God chooses the weak, the base, the ordinary things to display His glory. My faithfulness in small things MATTERS to God like the widow's two coins mattered more than millions! I don't measure significance by human standards. IT IS WRITTEN that I am His workmanship, created in Christ for good works He PREPARED beforehand. Every ordinary act of love, every unseen prayer, COUNTED. My life mattered because HE said so!
The Father doesn't measure your life by ministry résumé—He measures it by faithfulness in what He gave you. Like the widow whose two cents were worth more than millions in His eyes, your ordinary life of quiet faithfulness is SIGNIFICANT in heaven's economy. You didn't waste your life; you LIVED it as His beloved daughter, and that's the whole point.
