"God uses sickness to teach lessons. My chronic pain is His classroom."
How it sounds in your head: I've been sick so long, there must be a reason. Maybe God is using this arthritis, this diabetes, this pain to teach me patience or humility. I don't want to fight what He's ordained for my growth.
"God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."
-- Acts 10:38Source: Religious teaching that makes God the author of suffering and disease, contradicting Jesus who healed ALL who came to Him.
She's heard countless sermons about 'learning through suffering' and wants to find meaning in her pain rather than face the possibility it's been unnecessary all along.
Lying sick with fever—Jesus didn't ask what she was supposed to learn from it or let it 'run its course for her growth.' He touched her hand and the fever left her IMMEDIATELY, and she arose and served them—instant restoration, no lesson plan.
I REFUSE the lie that God is using my sickness as a classroom! IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus healed ALL who were oppressed by the devil—He didn't analyze their lessons or graduation requirements, He HEALED them because sickness is OPPRESSION! Peter's mother-in-law had a fever and Jesus didn't let it 'build her character'—He touched her and it left IMMEDIATELY! My chronic pain is not God's teaching tool; it's the enemy's oppression that Jesus came to destroy. IT IS WRITTEN: The Son of God was manifested to DESTROY the works of the devil! Sickness is the devil's work, healing is my Father's heart. I stand in the BARAK blessing, redeemed from the curse—and Deuteronomy 28 lists disease as CURSE, not curriculum!
The Father isn't standing back with a clipboard recording your pain tolerance—He's running toward you with healing hands, grieved by your suffering, eager to remove every ounce of it. He's not a cosmic sadist; He's the Father who felt every lash on Jesus' back so you wouldn't have to carry this disease.
