"God only heals when it serves His bigger purpose—random healing would undermine His sovereignty."
How it sounds in your head: You've been taught that God heals strategically for evangelistic impact or Kingdom purposes, not randomly for individual comfort. Maybe your healing isn't important enough to His master plan. Maybe you're supposed to glorify Him through endurance instead.
"How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing ALL who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him."
-- Acts 10:38Source: Calvinist hyper-sovereignty that makes God's love conditional on strategic value rather than relational covenant.
It explains why some are healed and others aren't without blaming God or the sufferer. It preserves God's sovereignty while explaining unanswered prayers—maybe you're not strategically valuable enough.
She was bent over for 18 YEARS, couldn't straighten up—anonymous woman, no name recorded, not famous, not strategically important. Jesus saw her in a crowd, called her over without her asking, said 'Woman, you are loosed,' laid hands on her, and IMMEDIATELY she straightened up and glorified God. Strategic purpose? She mattered because she was there.
I REFUSE the lie that God only heals strategically. IT IS WRITTEN: Jesus healed ALL who were oppressed—not based on strategic value but on His NATURE of doing good. The woman bent 18 years wasn't famous or important—Jesus healed her because He SAW her and she MATTERED. IT IS WRITTEN: By His stripes I WAS healed—finished work, not conditional on my usefulness. I am under the BARAK blessing where God defends and restores based on COVENANT, not performance. My healing glorifies Him simply because I'm His daughter.
The Father who healed an anonymous bent woman in a crowd isn't calculating your strategic value before deciding whether you're worth healing. He's running toward you because you're His beloved daughter—your wholeness IS the purpose, not a means to one.
