"God only answers when I pray long enough, fervently enough, or with fasting added."
How it sounds in your head: Maybe I'm not praying hard enough. The pastor talks about '3-day fasts' and 'hours in the prayer closet.' My 5-minute prayers must not count. I need to DO MORE.
"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
-- Mark 11:24Performance religion teaching that God responds to VOLUME, DURATION, or SACRIFICE instead of simply BELIEVING His Word.
Decades of teaching about 'prevailing prayer,' 'prayer warriors,' and 'breaking through' make simple faith feel insufficient. At 90+ she physically CAN'T fast or pray for hours - so is she disqualified?
He said ONE SENTENCE: 'Just speak a WORD, and my servant will be healed.' Jesus didn't say 'pray harder' or 'fast first.' He said 'I have not found such great FAITH' and healed the servant THAT HOUR.
I REFUSE the lie that God measures prayer by length or intensity. IT IS WRITTEN that whatever I ask, BELIEVING, I receive - it's about faith, not fasting. I don't earn answers through performance; I RECEIVE them through believing. IT IS WRITTEN God is not impressed by many words - He's moved by TRUST in His nature. My simple 'I believe You, Father' carries the weight of the centurion's faith. I declare my prayers are HEARD and ANSWERED not by my effort but by HIS FAITHFULNESS. Breakthrough comes by GRACE through FAITH, and I receive NOW.
The Father isn't waiting for you to hit a prayer quota or impress Him with religious gymnastics. He's waiting for you to simply BELIEVE He's good and loves to give. You don't earn it; you just receive it.
