"God isn't providing because I must have done something wrong to lose my job."
How it sounds in your head: You replay every conversation, wondering what you did. Was it that time you spoke up? Should you have worked harder? If God was with you, this wouldn't have happened. Good Christians keep their jobs. This feels like punishment.
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:32Religious lie that job loss equals God's judgment; confusion of Old Covenant consequences with New Covenant grace.
The timing feels targeted and you're watching 'less qualified' people keep their positions. Church culture equates blessing with stability, so loss must mean you're OUT of blessing.
A 'sinner' woman (likely prostitute) crashed a Pharisee's dinner, poured expensive perfume on Jesus while everyone judged her. Jesus didn't make her clean up first—He said her sins (MANY) were forgiven and declared 'Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.' Instant acceptance while still smelling like her past.
I REFUSE the lie that job loss is God's punishment. IT IS WRITTEN that He who gave His own SON freely gives me ALL things. I am not under curse—Christ BECAME the curse so I could walk in the Deuteronomy 28 BLESSING. Job loss is not rejection; it's REDIRECTION. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN that the barak protected Jacob the DECEIVER and Judah the ADULTERER—my provision is based on COVENANT, not performance. The Father is running toward me with BETTER.
The Father didn't take your job—He's CLEARING THE WAY for what you couldn't access while you were stuck there. He's running toward you with something that fits the REAL you, not the version you were performing. He's been preparing it while you've been hurting.
