"God is withholding children because of my sexual past before marriage."
How it sounds in your head: You remember the college years, the relationships before your wife, the things you did that you can't undo. Now you're paying for it - your wife's tears every month feel like divine punishment for your history. Maybe if you'd been pure, God would have blessed you by now.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross."
-- Colossians 2:13-14Religious karma theology, Old Covenant sin-punishment paradigm applied after the cross.
The timing seems too coincidental - you repented, you married right, but the nursery stays empty while guys with worse pasts have kids easily. Each negative pregnancy test feels like God saying 'I haven't forgotten what you did.'
Rahab was an active prostitute when she helped the spies - her profession, not her past. God not only spared her but put her in the Messianic line, making her the great-great-grandmother of King David and ancestor of Jesus Christ. Her sexual history became irrelevant the moment faith entered.
I REFUSE the lie that my sexual past disqualifies me from God's reproductive blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that He has forgiven me ALL trespasses and nailed every accusation to the cross. I am not under punishment - I am under the BARAK blessing of Abraham, and Christ redeemed me from every curse. My past is buried, my present is righteous, my future is blessed. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. I declare my body produces covenant seed, my wife's womb receives life, and our children will testify to redemption, not punishment. God doesn't remember my sins - why should I?
The Father who put a prostitute in Jesus's family tree isn't disqualifying you for your past - He already qualified you by His Son's blood. He's not waiting for enough time to pass or enough tears to be shed; He's running toward you with the robe that says 'My beloved son in whom I am well pleased.'
