"God is waiting for me to get my finances in order before He blesses me."
How it sounds in your head: Once you pay off the debt, fix the budget, get the discipline right - then God will open doors. You need to prove you're responsible first.
"But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
-- Romans 5:8Source: Religion's performance requirement disguised as stewardship, making blessing conditional on your management.
Financial mess feels like evidence of your failure. Surely God won't bless chaos - you need to clean this up first.
A servant owed the king ten thousand talents (millions of dollars, impossible to repay in multiple lifetimes). He had no plan, no payment, no worthiness - the master forgave the ENTIRE debt in one moment of compassion.
I REFUSE the lie that God is waiting for financial order before blessing me. IT IS WRITTEN that while I was STILL a sinner, Christ died for me - blessing precedes performance. The prodigal got robe and ring BEFORE changing clothes. The BARAK blessing protected Abraham THE LIAR and Jacob THE DECEIVER - it was never based on having it together. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. The Father is running toward my mess with provision, not standing back waiting for my cleanup.
The Father isn't waiting at the finish line of your budget plan. He's running INTO your financial chaos with the robe of righteousness and ring of authority - restoration first, order follows.
