Entire church culture reinforces it. Every card says 'God has a purpose in your pain.' Sermons about Job. Bible studies about refining fire. If it's not from God, why hasn't He stopped it?
Disciples asked, 'Who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?'—assuming suffering was punishment or lesson. Jesus said 'NEITHER'—it was so God's works could be displayed. Jesus immediately healed him—no lesson, no waiting, just instant sight and glory to God.
I REFUSE the lie that God is using sickness to teach me. IT IS WRITTEN: the THIEF comes to kill and destroy; JESUS came to give ABUNDANT LIFE. Jesus is the exact representation of the Father, and He HEALED everyone, afflicted no one. The man born blind wasn't blind for a lesson—he was blind so God's works could be DISPLAYED in healing. IT IS WRITTEN: there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. God isn't punishing me or teaching through disease—He's my HEALER. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights, with whom there is no shadow of turning. Sickness isn't a gift. The cross was the teaching—and it's FINISHED. I am REDEEMED from the curse. I receive healing NOW, not after I learn enough.
Your Father isn't holding healing hostage until you crack some spiritual code—He's the Dad who RAN to the prodigal while he still smelled like pigs, before any lesson was learned. He's not waiting for your character to improve; He's commanding blessing on you right now because the CROSS already taught everything that needed teaching, and His love doesn't operate on a lesson plan.
