How it sounds in your head: Everyone at church says God doesn't waste suffering. The Bible study leader said God's purposes are higher than our comfort. Maybe if I just learn the lesson fast enough, He'll let me out of this classroom. I'm searching every devotional trying to figure out what He's trying to tell me through this pain.

She's desperate to find meaning in the suffering, and believing God orchestrated it gives her a sense of control—if there's a lesson to learn, there's an escape hatch through good behavior.
Disciples asked Jesus whose sin caused the man's blindness—his own or his parents? Religious people always want suffering to have a moral lesson. Jesus said, 'NEITHER this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him'—then He HEALED him. The lesson wasn't IN the blindness; it was in the HEALING that destroyed it.
I REFUSE the lie that God is authoring this disease to teach me. IT IS WRITTEN that EVERY good and perfect gift comes from the Father of lights, with NO shadow of turning—which means He has no dark side that uses sickness as a tool. Cancer is NOT from heaven's curriculum. The thief comes to steal, kill, destroy; Jesus comes to give ABUNDANT LIFE. IT IS WRITTEN that Jesus didn't say the blind man's condition had a lesson to learn—He said it was there so GOD'S WORKS could be revealed, then He HEALED him. The revelation isn't IN my sickness; it's in the HEALING that destroys it. I am connected to the Vine and divine health is flowing through me AUTOMATICALLY—not because I learned a lesson, but because that's what happens when you're attached to LIFE Himself.
The Father didn't give you cancer to get your attention—Jesus already died to GET you, and that was enough. He's not withholding healing until you crack some spiritual code; He's already released it at the cross, and He's running toward you with resurrection life, not a syllabus.
