"God is testing my faithfulness with lack before He'll trust me with more; I'm in a season of preparation."
How it sounds in your head: I keep hearing about 'wilderness seasons' and 'training grounds.' Maybe God is keeping me broke to build character. Once I prove I can be faithful with little, He'll give me more. I need to pass this test before promotion comes.
"But the father said to his servants, 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.'"
-- Luke 15:22Religion created a false theology of divine hazing that makes God withhold blessing until you prove yourself, contradicting grace and finished work.
Pastors preach about 'process' and 'preparation.' Joseph was in prison before the palace. David was in the wilderness before the throne. Every testimony includes a 'waiting season' before breakthrough. My current lack must be my proving ground.
The prodigal blew his entire inheritance on prostitutes, ended up feeding pigs (about as low as a Jewish son could go), came home expecting servant status. The father RAN to him, cut off his 'make me a servant' speech, gave him the ring (authority), robe (identity), sandals (sonship), and threw an immediate party. Restoration in about 15 minutes, no probation period.
I REFUSE the lie that God is testing me with lack or making me prove faithfulness before blessing. IT IS WRITTEN that the prodigal received full restoration IMMEDIATELY, no probation, while still smelling like pigs. I am ALREADY blessed with EVERY spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ - past tense, finished. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed coming in and going out, head not tail, above not beneath. The BARAK blessing isn't earned through testing - it's received through covenant. I walk in instant breakthrough, not graduated levels of divine approval.
Your Father isn't making you pass tests to prove you're worthy of blessing - He already gave you EVERY spiritual blessing when you believed. He's running toward you with the ring and robe RIGHT NOW, not after you've proven anything, because His generosity is based on His nature, not your performance.
