"God is silent because He's disappointed in my lack of faith"
How it sounds in your head: If I had more faith, this would have happened already. My doubt is probably why God won't move. I'm ashamed I can't just believe harder.
"Immediately the father of the child cried out and said, I believe; help my unbelief!"
-- Mark 9:24Religion makes faith a work we produce, measuring worthiness by confidence levels rather than resting in God's character.
She's heard faith-without-doubt teachings and knows her belief wavers. The silence feels like confirmation that her weak faith disqualified her from receiving.
Thomas refused to believe unless he touched Jesus' wounds—bold doubt. Jesus didn't rebuke or reject him. He showed up specifically for Thomas, invited him to touch the scars, and called him to faith. Doubt didn't disqualify relationship.
I REFUSE the lie that my doubt disqualifies God's response. IT IS WRITTEN: the father cried 'I believe; help my unbelief' and Jesus healed IMMEDIATELY. My trembling faith is enough. IT IS WRITTEN: faith like a mustard seed moves mountains. I don't need certainty—I need connection to the Vine. Jesus responded to doubting Thomas with invitation, not rejection. I stand under the BARAK blessing that isn't based on my confidence levels but on God's covenant. I declare: God moves in response to His nature, not the size of my faith. My small belief is ENOUGH.
The Father isn't measuring your faith levels before deciding to answer. He's responding to the smallest seed of trust, just like Jesus healed the son of a man who admitted his doubt in the same breath as his belief.
