"God is punishing me with infertility because of my past sexual sin."
How it sounds in your head: I had an abortion. I slept with boyfriends. I made so many mistakes with my body that now God is making me pay by withholding children.
"I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins."
-- Isaiah 43:25Religion: Twists God into a punisher who holds past sins against you, contradicting the finished work of the cross.
The shame from past sexual choices feels like it should have consequences, and infertility seems like cosmic justice. Church culture often implies sexual sin has special lasting consequences that other sins don't.
Rahab was a prostitute, selling her body for money. God not only saved her and her family but placed her in the genealogy of JESUS—from prostitution to the Messiah's lineage.
I REFUSE the lie that God is punishing me for past sexual sin. IT IS WRITTEN that He blots out my transgressions and remembers my sins no more. The blood of Jesus doesn't partially cover—it completely cleanses, and there is NO condemnation for those in Christ. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the righteousness of God in Christ, not based on my sexual history but on His finished work. My womb isn't under judgment; it's under the BARAK blessing that made prostitutes and adulterers ancestors of Jesus. Past mistakes don't disqualify present promises.
The Father isn't tallying your sexual history—He blotted it out at the cross and isn't even looking at it. He's running toward you with the same grace that put a prostitute in Jesus' family tree.
