"God is punishing me for past sexual sin by withholding children."
How it sounds in your head: I had an abortion in my twenties. I slept around before marriage. Now I'm married and ready and my body won't cooperate. This is payback. God is making me reap what I sowed. I deserve this emptiness.
"I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins."
-- Isaiah 43:25Religious teaching that God operates on karma system, partnered with enemy accusation that turns past confession into present disqualification.
The temporal connection between past actions and present pain creates false causation. Religious voices have taught that consequences are God's punishment rather than recognizing full forgiveness at the cross.
Rahab was an active PROSTITUTE when she hid the spies - her sexual sin didn't disqualify her from God's protection, deliverance, or legacy. She married into Israel, became ancestor of Jesus, and is listed in FAITH hall of fame in Hebrews 11.
I REFUSE the lie that my past disqualifies my future. IT IS WRITTEN: 'I am He who blots out your transgressions and will not remember your sins.' What God has forgiven, He has FORGOTTEN. I am not under the curse but under the BARAK blessing of Abraham. IT IS WRITTEN: 'Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law.' Rahab the prostitute became ancestor of Jesus - my sexual past does NOT block my promised children. I receive INSTANT breakthrough because the blood of Jesus speaks better things than my history.
The Father isn't withholding children until you've suffered enough - He ran toward the prodigal who'd been with PROSTITUTES and threw a party, not a punishment. Your confession made you righteous, not your penance, and He's celebrating your future, not counting your past.
