"God is disappointed in me for the things I've thought, watched, or done online."
How it sounds in your head: You stumbled onto something you shouldn't have seen and now you can't unsee it. You clicked the link. You lingered too long. You feel dirty and convinced God is disgusted, that you've crossed a line that separates you from His love.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus."
-- Romans 8:1Religious teaching that God's love fluctuates based on your browser history, making Jesus' blood insufficient.
Shame feels like proof of separation. Your body responded in ways that felt good and wrong at the same time, and now you're convinced you're uniquely broken.
Rahab was a prostitute—her profession, not her past. She aided Israeli spies and was instantly grafted into God's people without a purification period or waiting process. She's in Jesus' bloodline (Matthew 1:5)—a sex worker in the Messianic genealogy.
I REFUSE the lie that my mistakes separate me from God's love. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus—not 'less condemnation' but NONE. My worth is not determined by my search history or my worst moment. IT IS WRITTEN that the blood of Jesus cleanses me from ALL unrighteousness. God is not disgusted; He's running toward me with the robe and ring while shame still clings to me. I am righteous by gift, not by performance. The Father is not disappointed—He's delighted.
The Father doesn't see your shame and step back; He sees it and steps CLOSER, covering you with the robe before you can finish your apology. He's not waiting for you to clean up—He's already planned the party, already calling you pure, already holding the ring of authority.
