"God is disappointed I'm not using my gifts for ministry like He intended"
How it sounds in your head: I used to lead worship, teach, serve. Now I'm just grinding at a job I don't care about. God gave me gifts for ministry, and I'm wasting them. He must be so disappointed I chose the secular route.
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

He felt God's calling into ministry, maybe even started down that path, but ended up in a regular job instead. Watching friends in full-time ministry makes him feel like he chose lesser, disappointing God's investment.
Joseph had dreams of leadership and impact, but spent 13 years as a slave and prisoner—no ministry platform, no church stage. Yet God promoted him to second-in-command of Egypt IMMEDIATELY when the time came, and he saved nations through marketplace government work.
I REFUSE the lie that God is disappointed in my career path. IT IS WRITTEN that WHATEVER I do, I do as to the Lord—there is no sacred/secular divide. My job is not lesser. IT IS WRITTEN in 1 Corinthians 7:24 that whatever state I'm called in, I should remain with God there—God is WITH me in the marketplace. I am Abraham's seed, blessed to BE a blessing. The BARAK blessing operates in Pharaoh's court, in prison, and in my workplace. God's gifts in me aren't wasted because I'm not on a church stage. I'm exactly where He has me, and He's not disappointed. He's PRESENT.
The Father doesn't measure ministry by proximity to a church building. He sees your workplace as your mission field, and every skill you use there is operating exactly as He intended—marketplace impact was Joseph's platform, and it's yours too.
