"God is disappointed I haven't shared my faith more. I'm a bad witness."
How it sounds in your head: Real Christians tell everyone about Jesus. I've had chances and stayed quiet. God gave me this gift of salvation and I'm too scared to share it. I'm letting Him down as His representative. I'm the disciple who denies Him by silence.
"Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them."
-- 2 Corinthians 5:18-19Source: Religious performance pressure that positions evangelism as debt repayment and silence as betrayal, making God's approval contingent on successful witnessing.
She's heard testimonies of bold believers who led people to Jesus, been taught the Great Commission, feels the gap between what she 'should' do and what she actually does. Every missed opportunity feels like letting God down.
Jesus healed a man who couldn't speak at all. The man had zero testimony, zero ability to witness, complete silence. Jesus healed him instantly with zero sermons about being a better witness first. The healing came BEFORE the speaking, and the speaking was a result, not a requirement.
I REFUSE the lie that God is disappointed in my witness. IT IS WRITTEN that God reconciled the world to Himself, NOT IMPUTING trespasses. That includes every time I stayed silent. He's not counting it against me. The mute man got healed before he could speak a word of testimony. IT IS WRITTEN that I am blessed to be a blessing - the BARAK flows FROM me, not because I perform. My witness flows from being loved, not from obligation. God isn't disappointed. He's already reconciling the world.
While you're measuring your witnessing failures, the Father is not counting them against you and is filling you with His love so it naturally overflows. You're not a bad witness - you're a loved daughter learning to share from fullness.
