"God is disappointed I haven't done anything significant for Him yet."
How it sounds in your head: I'm not leading a Bible study, going on missions, or doing anything 'ministry.' I work, go to class, scroll TikTok. Meanwhile, everyone else seems to be changing the world. God must look at my ordinary life and think, 'I gave you so much and this is what you do with it?'
"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

Instagram shows friends on mission trips and worship teams. Her feed is coffee runs and Netflix. Religious culture has equated 'significant' with 'public ministry,' leaving ordinary life feeling like failure to God.
While Martha rushed around doing 'ministry work,' Mary just sat at Jesus' feet doing 'nothing productive.' Martha complained Mary wasn't helping. Jesus' response? 'Mary has chosen the GOOD PART.' Sitting with Him was more significant than all the serving.
I REFUSE the lie that my worth is measured by ministry output. IT IS WRITTEN that WHATEVER I do, done unto the Lord, serves Christ—my ordinary life IS my worship. I am not an employee earning God's approval with accomplishments. I am a DAUGHTER, and my significance comes from WHO I AM, not what I do. IT IS WRITTEN that I am chosen, holy, beloved—past tense, already done. I am Abraham's seed, blessed by COVENANT, not by productivity. God isn't waiting for me to do something significant—I AM significant because I'm His.
The Father doesn't love you more when you're 'doing ministry' than when you're scrolling your phone. You're His delight in the coffee shop, in class, in your regular Tuesday. Like Mary sitting at His feet, sometimes the most significant thing you do is just BE with Him, not perform for Him.
