"God is disappointed that I chose the wrong path and wasted His plan for my life."
How it sounds in your head: I made big decisions—school, career, relationships—and I feel like I chose wrong. God had a perfect plan and I missed it. Now I'm off course and He's frustrated watching me live in Plan B.
"A man's heart plans his way, but the LORD directs his steps."
-- Proverbs 16:9Source: Teaching that God has one narrow plan and any deviation ruins everything, making God's will a tightrope rather than a relationship of trust and guidance.
Facing consequences of decisions or feeling uncertainty about direction creates fear that the 'right path' was missed. The enemy uses every difficulty as proof you're outside God's perfect will.
Jonah deliberately ran the OPPOSITE direction from God's clear command—total disobedience, wrong choice, ship to Tarshish instead of Nineveh. After the fish, God's word came AGAIN: 'Arise, go to Nineveh'—same calling, zero condemnation, instant restoration to purpose despite wrong choice.
I REFUSE the lie that wrong choices disappoint God or derail His plan. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord DIRECTS my steps even when I plan my own way—He's not frustrated watching me fumble; He's actively guiding through every choice. God's plan for me isn't a tightrope I can fall off but a relationship where He redeems every path. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:28 that ALL things work together for good to those who love God—not 'right things' or 'perfect choices,' but ALL things. There is no Plan B with God because His Plan A includes every detour, and He's not disappointed—He's directing.
Your Father doesn't have a perfect plan you ruined by choosing wrong—He has a PERSON (Jesus) you can't miss, and every path you take, He's already there redeeming and directing because His plan is bigger than your choices and stronger than your mistakes.
