"God gave my friend a baby as a freshman but won't give me one—He loves her more."
How it sounds in your head: You watched her stress about an unplanned pregnancy while you've been praying and hoping. She got what you're desperately asking for, even though she wasn't ready. It feels like proof God plays favorites and you're not one of them.
"He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?"
-- Romans 8:32Comparison turning different timelines into evidence of different levels of love, instead of trusting God's unique plan for you.
You can see the tangible evidence: she has a baby, you don't. She didn't even want it yet, you do. The disparity feels like divine preference.
Rachel was barren while watching her sister Leah have multiple sons with her own husband. She was so desperate she said 'Give me children or I die.' Then God remembered Rachel and opened her womb, giving her Joseph who became second in command of Egypt.
I REFUSE the lie that different timelines equal different love. IT IS WRITTEN that God freely gives us all things along with Christ. If He gave me Jesus, He's not withholding babies out of favoritism. IT IS WRITTEN that I am accepted in the Beloved and loved with the same love the Father has for Jesus Himself. My friend's pregnancy doesn't diminish God's promise to me. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places. The BARAK blessing of fruitfulness is mine by covenant, not comparison. I am Abraham's seed and heir according to the promise, and God's promises don't depend on who gets theirs first.
The Father isn't loving your friend more because her timing is different. He's running toward you with the same sacrificial love that gave Jesus, and that love doesn't ration blessings based on birth order of prayers.
