"God gave me this cancer to teach me patience and dependence on Him."
How it sounds in your head: All these years I've been strong, providing, leading. Maybe I relied on myself too much. Maybe God is humbling me through this diagnosis. Perhaps this tumor is His way of getting my attention before I meet Him.
"Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed."
-- 1 Peter 2:24Religion taught suffering glorifies God and that hardship proves His sovereignty over your body.
Every well-meaning Christian at church says 'God's got a purpose in this' and your pastor preached Job's suffering as example. Your generation was taught real men endure silently, so reframing pain as spiritual makes the fear bearable.
Twelve years bleeding, ceremonially unclean, medically bankrupt, religiously excluded. ONE TOUCH and 'immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed.' No process, no lesson plan, no character-building journey—instant.
I REFUSE the lie that my Creator gave me disease as curriculum. IT IS WRITTEN that by His stripes I WAS healed—finished work, purchased healing, covenant reality. This cancer has NO PERMISSION and NO PURPOSE in my body. I am Abraham's seed, heir according to promise, and the BARAK blessing that protected liars and deceivers surrounds me now. IT IS WRITTEN that He Himself took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses. I receive healing as GIFT, not graduation. My body aligns with resurrection power RIGHT NOW.
Your Father isn't authoring lessons through tumors—He's running toward you with the robe of health that Jesus purchased. The prodigal didn't get a disease to mature him; he got a party because the Father's nature is RESTORATION, not education through suffering.
