THE LIE Sickness as God's Will

"My body is just weak and prone to sickness, that's how God made me."

How it sounds in your head: I've always been the sick kid. Some people are just built stronger and healthier than me. Maybe God made me with a weak immune system and I have to work around it my whole life.

IT IS WRITTEN John 9:32

Enemy whispers: 'Your body is just weak, that's how you're made.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: John 9:32 - Jesus healed a man BORN BLIND, something 'unheard of since the world began!' Born conditions don't limit Jesus. IT IS WRITTEN in Acts 3:2, the lame man was lame 'from his mother's womb' - over 40 years! - yet Peter said 'In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk' and IMMEDIATELY his feet and ankle bones received strength! What you were born with doesn't determine what you live with!

Doctors talk about genetics and family history making certain conditions likely. When sickness keeps coming back, it feels like it's just part of your body's design that can't be changed.

THE BIBLICAL PRECEDENT Acts 3:2-8

The lame man at Beautiful Gate

He was born lame, never walked a day in his 40+ years, begging daily at the temple gate - then Peter said 'In Jesus's name, walk!' and INSTANTLY his feet and ankles were strengthened and he went walking, leaping, and praising God! Born conditions were healed IMMEDIATELY!
