"God forgot about this part of my life and now it's too late to matter."
How it sounds in your head: You prayed in your twenties, thirties, forties, fifties. You watched Him answer other prayers but not this one. He must have moved on to younger people with more time ahead of them. Your request expired.
"I have been young, and now am old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread."
-- Psalm 37:25Enemy lie that God has limited attention and abandons long-term prayers, denying His eternal nature and perfect memory.
Decades of unanswered prayer in one specific area while seeing breakthrough in other areas feels like divine selective attention. The older she gets, the less 'worth it' the miracle seems.
Simeon received a promise from the Holy Spirit that he wouldn't die before seeing the Messiah - then waited decades, possibly into old age. The INSTANT he saw baby Jesus, the promise fulfilled, proving God's timing is not God's forgetting.
I REFUSE the lie that God forgot me. IT IS WRITTEN: 'I have been young and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous FORSAKEN.' My Father doesn't have dementia or selective attention. IT IS WRITTEN: He keeps track of every tear, stores them in His bottle, records them in His book. Like Simeon who held the promise into old age and received it INSTANTLY when God spoke, my prayers are not expired - they are ACCUMULATING interest in heaven. The BARAK blessing doesn't diminish with time; Abraham received promises at 75 and saw fulfillment at 100. I am HEIR according to promise, and His promises have no expiration date.
The Father has been preparing the fattened calf for THIS moment, not scrambling because you finally showed up. He's been planning your party while you thought He forgot your name. Every delay was His SETUP, not His dismissal.
