"My singleness is wasting my life and I'm missing out on my purpose."
How it sounds in your head: I was supposed to be a wife and mom by now. That's where real ministry happens, where life begins. Instead I'm just... waiting. Watching everyone else live the life I was meant for.
"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."
-- Jeremiah 29:11Cultural lie that marriage and motherhood are the only valid purpose for women, making singleness feel like exile.
Church culture elevates marriage and family as the ultimate calling, and every Mother's Day sermon reinforces that your purpose is tied to roles you don't have. Your thirties feel like a holding pattern instead of a life.
Never married, no children mentioned, yet she was a prophetess who led the women of Israel in worship after the Red Sea crossing. She was called alongside Moses and Aaron as a leader who delivered Israel—her purpose was never contingent on a husband or children.
I REFUSE the lie that my life is on hold or that my purpose is locked behind a relationship status. IT IS WRITTEN in Jeremiah 29:11 that God's thoughts toward me are peace, hope, and a future—not contingent on marriage but certain in Him. I am not waiting to live; I AM living, fully purposed, fully seen, fully used by God. IT IS WRITTEN that I am the Bride of Christ, complete in Him, lacking no good thing. I am under the BARAK blessing, blessed in this season, blessed in every assignment God has for me NOW. My singleness is not a waste; it is a season of purpose, influence, and Kingdom assignment. I walk in abundance TODAY.
The Father doesn't see you as stuck in a waiting room—He sees you as fully alive, fully purposed, fully equipped for THIS moment. He's not saving your real life for later; He's inviting you into abundant purpose right now, writing a story of influence that has nothing to do with your relationship status.
