"Everyone else got the blessing of companionship, but God skipped over me."
How it sounds in your head: You watch them all—neighbors, family, friends—living out their golden years with someone. Holding hands at church. Inside jokes after 50 years. God gave them the gift. He just didn't give it to you. You're the exception to His goodness.
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ."
-- Ephesians 1:3Enemy: Twists God's character to appear arbitrary and unfair, suggesting He plays favorites and you're not one of them.
The evidence is everywhere. Couples celebrating anniversaries. Spouses in matching recliners. You're alone in a world built for pairs. If God is good to everyone, why does it feel like He made an exception with you?
No record of John ever marrying. He's called the disciple 'whom Jesus loved'—his identity was in that love, not in a spouse. He lived into very old age, wrote five books of the Bible, and his epitaph was LOVE. Single, but never skipped over. Chosen for the most intimate friendship with Jesus Himself.
I REFUSE the lie that God skipped over me when He gave out blessings. IT IS WRITTEN that God has blessed me with EVERY spiritual blessing in Christ—not some, but ALL. I am not the exception to His goodness. IT IS WRITTEN that He who gave His own Son will freely give me all things. I have JESUS—which means I have everything. The BARAK blessing of Abraham is mine by covenant, not by marital status. I am blessed in the city and in the field, blessed coming in and blessed going out. I am not overlooked. I am SEEN, KNOWN, and LAVISHED with heaven's favor.
The Father hasn't been handing out blessings to everyone else while passing over you with a shrug. He's been pouring out a specific, undiluted, undistracted blessing ON you that required this exact path. What looks like 'less' from the outside is actually 'MORE' in the kingdom—more intimacy, more focus, more of His presence than a divided heart could contain.
