"God doesn't hear my prayers because I'm not spiritual enough or praying correctly."
How it sounds in your head: I've been praying the same thing for years and nothing changes. Other women at Bible study get answers, but God must not hear me. Maybe I'm not using the right formula or I'm disqualified somehow.
"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him."
-- 1 John 5:14-15Religion taught prayer is a formula to master rather than a covenant conversation where you're already heard.
Years of repeated requests with no visible answer create evidence that seems irrefutable. Watching others receive while you wait makes it feel personal, like God has favorites and you're not one of them.
Cornelius wasn't even born again yet, didn't know Jesus, but the angel said 'Your prayers and your gifts have come up as a memorial before God.' God was already answering prayers from someone who didn't even know the gospel yet. If God heard an unsaved man's prayers, how much more does He hear you who are IN CHRIST with the Holy Spirit praying through you?
I REFUSE the lie that God doesn't hear me. IT IS WRITTEN that if I ask anything according to His will, He HEARS me, and if He hears me, I HAVE what I asked. I am righteous by the blood of Jesus, and the prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective. IT IS WRITTEN: 'The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers.' I am Abraham's seed through Christ, and the BARAK blessing guarantees my prayers reach the throne. God isn't grading my technique—He's running toward my voice because I'm His beloved daughter.
Your Father heard the first syllable of that prayer years ago, and He's been orchestrating the answer while you thought He was silent. Like the prodigal's father who was WATCHING for his son's return while the son was still far off, your Father has been preparing breakthrough while you thought you were being ignored.
