"God didn't give me the wisdom or skills to succeed, so I'm disqualified from business."

How it sounds in your head: Other guys have the business gene, the intelligence, the skills. I clearly don't. God gives gifts and talents to some people and I'm just not one of them. I need to accept my limitations and stop trying to be something I'm not.

James 1:5

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."

-- James 1:5
Enemy whispers: 'God didn't give you what it takes. You're disqualified.' BUT IT IS WRITTEN: James 1:5—'If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives GENEROUSLY to ALL without reproach, and it WILL be given.' Not 'might be' or 'if you're qualified'—it WILL be given. Generously. Without reproach. God doesn't withhold wisdom from some and give it to others—He gives to ALL who ask. Moses said 'I can't speak,' Gideon said 'I'm the weakest,' Jeremiah said 'I'm too young.' God used them ALL mightily. Your sense of disqualification is often God's SETUP for showing off.
Quick Truth: LIE: I don't have what it takes. TRUTH: God gives wisdom GENEROUSLY to ALL who ask. Jas 1:5. Gideon was weakest—God made him mighty.

Enemy using comparison and 'realism' to make God seem stingy—making him believe he got shortchanged in the gift distribution while others got the business anointing.

Why this feels true:

He sees successful entrepreneurs and they seem naturally gifted, like they have something he doesn't. His failure feels like proof he's missing the 'business gene.'

Judges 6:12-16
Gideon

Angel called Gideon 'mighty warrior' while he was hiding in a wine press, weakest man in the weakest tribe. Gideon argued 'I'm disqualified'—God said 'I'm WITH you' and he defeated armies with 300 men and trumpets.

Speak this out loud

I REFUSE the lie that I lack what it takes or that God shortchanged me in gifts. IT IS WRITTEN that if I lack wisdom, I ask God and He gives GENEROUSLY without reproach or criticism. I am not disqualified—I am Abraham's seed, and the BARAK blessing isn't based on my business IQ or natural skills. Gideon was the weakest and God made him mighty. Moses stuttered and led a nation. IT IS WRITTEN in 1 Corinthians 1:27 that God chose the FOOLISH to shame the wise. My lack of 'business skills' by world standards is God's opportunity to show that HE is my wisdom, my strategy, my source. I don't need a business gene—I have the Holy Spirit, and He leads into ALL truth.

But God actually:

The Father isn't looking at your resume or skill set—He's looking for sons who will let Him be their wisdom. He specializes in using the 'disqualified' to shame the experts.
