The doctor's lectures about lifestyle feel like confirmation that this is deserved. You look back at decades of stress-eating and sedentary habits and it feels like obvious cause-and-effect punishment from God.
He was the WORST king—practiced witchcraft, sacrificed his own sons in fire, filled Jerusalem with innocent blood. God had him captured and imprisoned, and when he humbled himself and prayed, God IMMEDIATELY brought him back to Jerusalem and restored his kingdom—no penance period, just instant restoration despite horrific past.
I REFUSE the lie that my past earned me this disease. IT IS WRITTEN that He has NOT dealt with me according to my sins, and as far as east is from west, my transgressions are REMOVED. Jesus didn't take the curse conditionally—He took it COMPLETELY. IT IS WRITTEN that there is NO condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The BARAK blessing protected Abraham when he LIED, Jacob when he DECEIVED, Judah when he sinned sexually—my past choices don't override covenant blood. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and healing flows from IDENTITY, not perfect history. Diabetes is under my feet because I am seated above it in Christ.
The Father isn't reviewing your eating habits from 1985—He's looking at the blood of Jesus that covers every choice you ever made. He ran to the prodigal who WASTED everything; He's running to you with the ring of authority and robe of righteousness, not a medical bill for past mistakes.
