"God allowed this betrayal, so He must not care about protecting me."
How it sounds in your head: If God really loved you, He would have stopped this. He saw it coming and did nothing. Maybe you're not important enough for His intervention. Maybe He's punishing you for something. Either way, you can't count on His protection.
"The LORD shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in from this time forth, and even forevermore."
-- Psalm 121:7-8Enemy twisting God's sovereignty into accusation, blaming Father for human sin to destroy trust in His goodness and protection.
God is all-powerful and all-knowing—He could have prevented this. The fact that He didn't feels like abandonment or judgment, and you're questioning whether His protection is real or just something that works for other people.
Job lost everything and accused God of targeting him, convinced God had abandoned him to suffering. Yet when Job stopped demanding answers and encountered God's presence, God INSTANTLY restored double everything he lost—not because Job earned it, but because God's nature is redemption, and the attack was NEVER from God but from the enemy.
I REFUSE the lie that God allowed this betrayal as evidence He doesn't protect me. IT IS WRITTEN that the Lord preserves me from all evil and preserves my soul forevermore. The betrayal came from human free will and the enemy's attack, NOT from my Father. IT IS WRITTEN in Romans 8:28 that ALL things work together for good to those who love God. He is turning this wound into my greatest testimony and this attack into my greatest promotion. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. The BARAK blessing includes divine protection even when humans choose evil—He preserves my soul and is restoring double what was stolen.
Your Father didn't author this betrayal—He's REDEEMING it. He saw it coming and already positioned the breakthrough that will come FROM it, not despite it. He's not distant; He's closer than He's ever been, collecting your tears and preparing restoration that will make the betrayal look like a setup for your greatest victory.
