"Family wealth destroyed us - inheritance is a curse, not a blessing."
How it sounds in your head: You've seen it destroy your family. Dad's money turned siblings into enemies. Cousins who don't speak. Marriages that ended over estate battles. Maybe being cut out was actually protection. Money corrupts, and inheritance just brings out the worst in people.
"The blessing of the Lord makes one rich, and He adds no sorrow with it."
-- Proverbs 10:22Enemy twisting legitimate family trauma into rejection of covenant blessing - making you fear the very abundance God promised.
The evidence is everywhere. Your brother hasn't spoken to your sister in twelve years over the estate. You watched money change people you loved. The inheritance created more pain than provision, and you've told yourself you're better off without it.
Lost everything - wealth, children, health - while his friends condemned him and his wife told him to curse God and die. God DOUBLED his former wealth, gave him new children, restored family relationships, and he lived 140 more years seeing four generations prosper - the wealth didn't destroy his second season.
I REFUSE the lie that God's financial blessing comes with destruction. IT IS WRITTEN that the blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds NO SORROW. The family pain I witnessed was not God's design. The BARAK blessing protected Abraham's family through generations, and that same covenant blessing is mine. IT IS WRITTEN in Deuteronomy 28 that I am blessed in my relationships, blessed in my finances, blessed coming in and going out. I receive wealth that strengthens family bonds, not destroys them. God's abundance includes His peace.
Your Father isn't offering you poisoned bread. The blessing He's running toward you with includes financial abundance wrapped in relational peace - He doesn't give good gifts that destroy, He gives perfect gifts that restore everything the enemy stole.
