Every social gathering includes the question 'So what do you do?' and he has to explain he's 'in transition' while watching their expression change.
Three friends spent 35 chapters explaining why Job's suffering proved his secret sin, judging him as cursed. God was ANGRY with them, required Job to pray for THEM, and then restored Job's fortunes DOUBLE the moment he prayed for his judgmental friends.
I REFUSE the lie that others' judgment defines me. IT IS WRITTEN that I am God's anointed one and untouchable by accusation. Their opinions cannot override His declaration. IT IS WRITTEN there is NO condemnation to those in Christ - if the Father isn't condemning me, no human verdict matters. I am not a charity case. I am not a cautionary tale. I am the righteousness of God in Christ, and the BARAK blessing makes me the head and not the tail regardless of current employment. Favor surrounds me. My comeback is already written.
The Father isn't embarrassed by your unemployment - He's preparing to publicly vindicate you like He did Job, doubling what was lost while your critics watch. He's not asking you to defend yourself. He's defending you.
