"Everyone else's kids check on them daily. Mine have moved on with their lives without me."
How it sounds in your head: You hear about kids calling every day, visiting weekly, including their parents in their lives. Your kids are busy, distant, rarely reach out. You're not part of their world anymore. They've moved on. Maybe you weren't around enough when they were young. Maybe you were too strict, too distant. Now you're reaping what you sowed—irrelevance in their lives.
"Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ."
-- Philippians 1:6Religious lie that relational distance is judgment for past parenting failures, mixed with enemy accusation and comparison.
Infrequent contact feels like rejection. Seeing other families more connected creates feeling of being forgotten. Past regrets about work hours or strictness feel like current consequences.
Absalom REBELLED against David, tried to KILL him, took his kingdom, and died in rebellion. David's response? 'O my son Absalom! Would I had died instead of you!' God sees your HEART for your kids despite their distance, and He's moving in them RIGHT NOW. The reconciliation may come in ways you don't expect.
I REFUSE the lie that my kids have moved on without me because I failed. IT IS WRITTEN: He who began a good work in them will COMPLETE it. God is not done with my family relationships. IT IS WRITTEN: I will turn the hearts of the children to the fathers. My kids are under the BARAK blessing—the blessing of Abraham through Christ is on my SEED. Distance is not the final word. God is orchestrating connection, breakthrough, and reconciliation I haven't seen yet. I reject comparison to other families. My story is UNFINISHED, and God is writing the next chapter RIGHT NOW.
The Father sees you waiting by the phone, feeling forgotten, and He wants you to know—He's working in your children's hearts THIS MOMENT. The distance you feel is not His final word. He's preparing a reunion of hearts, a breaking down of walls, a restoration that will come suddenly, not because you earned it, but because His faithfulness to families is RELENTLESS.
